This millennium of rainfall,
Sweeping through my days
Washing away all I hold dear;
Though I embrace it
For the thought of what could wash us away
Must not scare us
It is the thought of allowing it to that I fear.
If you were lined up,
With the pyramids,
The towers,
The beautiful structures of our land
And all of the other wonders of the world,
It is you
That would be the most wonderful.
The concept of time frightens me,
Because our hours are numbered
Like the remaining days of our earth
And yet,
People still manage to waste it
As if we have it in abundance.
