Micro-Poetry #36

Engorged in solitude,

Though loving the feeling;

My mind is numb

And my soul is dry,

Though the outer shell

Is painted in glory.

Just hearing your name sends a chill down my spine. Even from a stranger speaking of someone else. Because they may be talking about someone who shares that name and in this world there will be quite the number. But to me only one exists, and that one is you.

I am a fractured soul, a crumbling heart. Let my body intertwine with yours once more. Oh darling, make me whole again.

Oh how my soul bleeds because of you. You have caused me so much pain and ache. But darling, if I was forced to make a choice – almost like a masochist –  I’d say that you are my favourite source of pain.
